The CAOS Pre-Optometry Mentorship Program provides an opportunity for prospective students to communicate with current optometry students in order to gain insight into optometry school and the profession as a whole. Mentees are matched with a current Canadian optometry student based on similar geographical areas or undergraduate universities, and are free to ask any questions or concerns they have, including insight into the profession, admissions, and school-life balance. This program provides mentees with direct communication and up-to-date information from mentors who have recently undergone the admissions process, and can therefore answer questions that mentees may not otherwise know where to find answers.
